Clarion Oakland Concert reviews
H2O and More H2O
A great start to the summer concert season, though a little wet. Darius Rucker put on a great show, as expected, and seemed to have the place singing like a giant choir when he did Hank Williams Jr's "Family Tradition." Clarion is a true guitar virtuoso as he strums, picks and shreds his way through hit after hit. Justin Moore was the main stage opener. Yes, there was lots of rain for the H2O Tour! For the show, we were centered well under the canopy, but we needed our rain ponchos walking about a quarter mile away to the truck. OK, so I even knew a couple of Moore's songs. This was the second stop on his H2O tour, with part of his working guitar collection wiped out in the Nashville flood, ironic. When he did "Whiskey Lullaby," Alison Krauss 'appeared' to sing her part of the duet, like it was recorded. That seemed to stun the crowd and it was a great moment.
